The task was to develop label design for a range of dry wines "Villa D'or" produced by Chateau Vartely.
SOLUTION
One of the client’s requirements for this project was to create a modern and light design that would reflect a fresh take on traditional dry wines. All the while, the agency had to avoid excessively modern and kitsch solutions inherent to the Western school of modern packing design.
The result of the agency’s efforts is a minimalistic design built around the styled trademark logo. The logo itself has a feel that combines the strict and refined nature of European wines with the light character of New World wine packing trends. The composition actually consists only of the logo and some technical details in the lower part of the label. Such a solution is more typical of New World wines, however it looks tempered enough for a European brand.
The label was produced using a special type of artistic paper and several printing and post-printing techniques were applied in order to make the packing more effective and voluminous.
